1st Round of the tournament for the WWF Championship

Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine defeated Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat to advance to the Quarter Finals. Valentine received 20 points for this win, Steamboat received -10. The Hammer would lose to Randy Savage in the quarter final, for which he lost 10 points, giving him 10 points in total for the event.



Ted Dibiase defeated Jim Duggan. Duggan received -10 points for the event

Don Muraco defeated Dino Bravo. Bravo received -10 points for the event

Greg Valentine defeated Ricky Steamboat. Steamboat received -10 points for the event

Randy Savage defeated Butch Reed. Reed received -10 points for the event

One Man Gang defeated Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow received -10 points for the event

Jake Roberts and Rick Rude fought to a time limit draw. Both wrestlers received 5 points for the event

In the Ultimate Warriors first PPV event for the WWF he defeated Hercules in 4 minutes 29 seconds.

Quarter Finals of the tournament for the WWF Championship


Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant battled to a double disqualification draw. This would give the winner of the Ted Dibiase vs Don Muraco match a bye into the final. Hogan and Andre both received 5 points for the event.

Ted Dibiase defeated Don Muraco. Muraco received 10 points for the event

Randy Savage defeated Greg Valentine. Valentine received 10 points for the event.

One Man Gang received a bye to the Semi Finals due to Jake Roberts and Rick Rude competing to a draw in the first round.




The Honky Tonk Man (c) vs Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake for the WWF Intercontinental Championship


Brutus Beefcake won this contest by disqualification, meaning he won the match but Honky Tonk Man held onto his title.

The British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid) and Koko B Ware vs The Islanders (Haku and Tama) and Bobby Heenan

Bobby Heenan pinned Koko B Ware to win the contest for his team.

Semi Finals of the tournament for the WWF Championship


Randy Savage defeated One Man Gang via DQ to advance to the final to face Ted Dibiase, who received a bye into the final. 

One Man Gang received 10 points for this event




Strike Force (c) (Tito Santana and Rick Martel) vs Demolition (Ax and Smash) for the WWF Tag Team Championship

With a distraction from Mr Fuji and a hit with a cane from Ax, Smash pinned Martel to win the match, meaning Demolition became the NEW WWF Tag Team Champions.

Tag Points: Demolition 30 points, Strike Force -5 points

Individual Points: Ax 15, Smash 15, Santana -2.5, Martel -2.5



The Final of the tournament and the match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship

'The Million Dollar Man' Ted Dibiase vs 'Macho Man' Randy Savage

With help from Miss Elizabeth and Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage was able to overcome Ted Dibiase (with Andre the Giant in his corner) to win the match and become the NEW WWF Heavyweight Champion. 

Randy Savage received 110 points for this event after winning all 4 of his matches and the title.

Ted Dibiase received 50 points for his efforts in this event.
